Update: Luxembourg swine-flu vaccination period extended again until 13th November
The vaccination period for the first phase has been extended once again to 13th November included.
The following 3 vaccination centres will be open
* Luxembourg-City Forum Campus Geesseknäppchen, 40, bd Pierre Dupong (Merl)
* Esch-sur-Alzette, Sports Hall Henry Schmitz, 34, Boulevard Hubert Clement (Lallange)
* Diekirch, Al Seeërei, rue de l'Industrie
These three centres will be open to the general population whether in risk groups or not (adults and children aged 6 months and older) from 12pm to 8pm.
For the vaccination campaign beyond this period, nothing has currently been announced.
What happens when I go to one of these centres and how does it work?
It’s very simple, but there are a few steps you are taken through before to actually receive your free vaccination.
· When you arrive at the reception area you will be given vaccination information: practical guide, information about Pandemrix (the drug itself) and the “Halte a la Grippe A” information leaflet.
· Next step is to register and for this you’ll need ID and your Luxembourg social security card/number.
· Once you’ve done the last step you’ll be given a form called “Fiche de vaccination A (H1N1)” to complete that asks you a series of questions. A copy of the form and how to complete it is below.
· With the form, you can then go and receive your vaccination. A doctor or nurse checks the details on the form to verify that you are eligible for vaccination and signs it before giving you your injection.
· On your way out you must leave the form, but you should be given a copy
