Reminder: Luxembourg's Ten-Minute Play Festival starts tonight!
Station.lu is proud to be media partner for Luxembourg's first Ten-Minute Play Festival by NWTC, taking place from 11th to 14 November in the Bonnevoie Cultural Centre
Station.lu and 352 magazine are proud to be part of Luxembourg’s first ever Ten-Minute Play Festival that takes place from 11th to 14th November, presented by NWTC (New World Theatre Club).
What’s the Ten-Minute Play Festival all about? Steve Anderson, NWTC Treasurer tells us all:
A ten-minute play is often described as a theatrical haiku – a flash of dramatic lightning. It attracts playwrights from David Mamet to Christopher Durang.
In Luxembourg, the festival invited local writers to submit plays and nine of the twenty plays were chosen. “Every word must count!” says writer Celeste Koehler. For the 20 actor-ensemble, the chance to play a motorcycling angel in one play to a grieving friend in another is part of the fun. Directors Deborah Anderson and Chris Wilson agree: “Each play is a story and each brings you into a completely diverse world.”
Eight directors, nine plays of ten-minutes, one production!
The nine plays per night, varying from comedy to surreal, at the Ten-Minute Play Festivals are being performed from 11th to 14th November, all in English, at the Bonnevoie Cultural Centre at 8pm each night.
The event should prove to be very entertaining and popular. You can book your tickets now, and Station.lu hopes to see you there!
