The city of Luxembourg, ING Luxembourg, Luxexpo and the Athletics Federation of Luxembourg (FLA) and CAL Spora (CSL) have announced that the 2010 edition of the Marathon will take place on the 15th of May, the departure and arrival points will be at Luxexpo, Kirchberg.

During the past few months, there was a certain amount of uncertainty as regards the Marathon since d'Coque no longer wanted to collaborate with the organiser “Step by step”. The partners of the event have finally managed to reach an agreement to ensure the event takes place despite the Coque's refusal to host the event if it was organised by “Step by step”.

Discussions are underway between Luxexpo and the organisers to determine the necessary infrastructures that are needed to accommodate the athletes and the spectators. The event is open to all, amateurs and professionals, registration is already possible on  www.ing-europe-marathon.lu/925.0.html
