On the weekend of the 12th and 13th of December, the Vianden castle will time travel back several centuries to celebrate Christmas as it was done many years ago.

Visitors will experience time travel with drinks and food from the past such as beer or champagne produced with old fashioned methods that will be available in a traditional tavern. Christmas decoration, crystal items and lamps will be displayed next to olive oils, fresh herbs and other medieval delicacies such as jams, bio wines or sweets. Celtic jewelry made out of silver, pewter or ceramic will be displayed in about 50 booths around the medieval castle.

Entertainment will be provided for all age groups along the same medieval theme and the Christmas atmosphere will be heightened by various concerts. On Saturday at 4pm, the 'Eintracht' choir will give a concert in one of the castle's rooms and on Sunday, the Saint Petersburg Newa Quartett will give a Christmas concert.
